FISHING
- Activity of catching fish, either for food or sport.
Types of Fishing:
All anglers use the same basic angling techniques but there are many
types of fishing. The most common are;
• Bait fishing
• Spin fishing
• Trolling
• Fly- fishing
• Ice fishing
Bait Fishing
- Type of fishing that uses bait to attract
fishes.

Examples of baits that are commonly used


are worms, maggots, small fish, bread
paste, cheese, and small pieces of
vegetables and grain.
Spin Fishing
• Spin fishing is an angling technique where
a spinnerbait, a type of hybrid fishing lure
with at least one freely rotating blade, is
used to entice the fish to bite.
Trolling

• Angles troll by monitoring or


paddling a boat and dragging
the bait or lure about 30 m
(about 100 ft) behind the stern.
• There are four main types of lures to use when trolling for fish
offshore - skirted lures, spoons, plugs and soft-plastic lures. Each will
have their moment of glory, but skirted trolling lures are the most
commonly used.
Fly-Fishing
