Christianity is the religion based on the person
and teachings of Jesus Christ, or its beliefs and
practices.
The original Greek work for Christian is
“Christianos” which comes from the two Greek
words “Christ” and “tian.” The word Christ
means “anointed” and tain means “little.

So, the word “Christian” literary means “little

anointed ones.”
Christianity started in the 1st century.
Christianity has dominated the western cultural
practices for centuries as the principle religion in
Europe and and the Americas.

This religion traces its origin in the love and

compassion of Jesus Christ for the people
His teachings include believing in one god, living
with honour, respecting and forgiving each other.

It is against the self-righteousness and

hypocrisy of the Jewish religious authorities.
The followers of Christianity are called
Christians and their holy book is called the
Bible.
Christianity commenced more than 2000 years
ago.

He was born at Bethlehem in Jerusalem.
He founded Christianity.
He was a Jew follower before he became
the lord of Christianity.
