Knowledge, Skills and
Understanding
This learning chart is to help the pupils identify whether they are learning a
new fact, skill or developing their understanding at the start of a new
topic/lesson. It can be edited and added to as the topic progresses.

Actions could be given to help children remember the learning , such as thumbs
up for knowledge, building block hands for skills and tapping the head for
understanding.

The chart is to be used during the teacher input and enlarged to be displayed
throughout the topic. Objectives from the topic can be added and used as a
reference for assessment.
