Tigsik
Tigsik
 is a form of literature in Bikol Region of the
Philippines.
 this kind of literature is somehow similar to Haiku
(Japanese poetry) but it does not follow the 5,7,5
pattern.

Aida Brosas Cirujales (born July 5,

1952, Tiwi, Albay, Philippines) is a retired
Bicolana teacher in public school, writer
of tigsik, poem, poetic debate, Bikol debate,
oration and songwriter.

She is also known as "Tigsik Queen"

in Camarines Sur. She lives in Naga City
and taught at Gainza Central School until
she retired.
Abdon M. Balde (born September 12, 1946 in
Busac, Oas)
 is a contemporary Bicolano writer in Bikol, Filipino,
and English.
 He was awarded as one of the Outstanding
Bikolano Artists for 2009 in Literary Arts
category in Naga City, and Southeast Asian
Writers Awards for the Philippines in
Thailand last 2009.
 He is one of the directors in Unyon ng mga
Manunulat sa Pilipinas (UMPIL)
Mariano Perfecto
 He was born on January 01, 1853 (died on November
03, 1913, he was 60 years old) .
 the fifth Governor of Ambos Camarines.
 Known as a prolific writer he is considered as the
Father of Bikol Literature and the Father of
Bisayan Literature.
 He published the first newspaper in the Bikol language
