OPENING

PRAYER
Dear Lord, may we through Your guidance
Add love to the world, subtract evils from our
lives, Multiply Your good works to your children,
And divide Your gifts and share them to others.
Give us the power to overcome challenges and
root out the bad things in our hearts. This we
pray in the name of Mary, our mother and Jesus
Christ, our Lord. Amen

What if?

Radical
-a mathematical expression indicating a root by
means of a radical sign

-an algebraic expression of the form that

indicates an nth root of a
11/17/2023 Mount Carmel School of Infanta 10
Radical expressions consist of:

Radical sign (√) -This is the symbol which indicates roots

of the number.

Radicand – This is the number inside the radical

sign of the number whose roots are to be
considered.
Index – This is the small number which indicates the
order of the radical. It tells what root is to be
found.
