One fine day, Mang Tano harvested 5 3/4kg of Tilapia from his tilapia
tank in the morning and another 2/3 kg in the afternoon. How many kilo-
grams of Tilapia did he harvest in all?

Find the sum of 5 3/4 and 2/3 1. Find the LCD of 4 and 3= 12

5 3/4 = 5 9/12 2. Change the fraction 3/4 and

+ 2/3 to similar fractions.
2/3 = 8/12 (12÷4) X 3 = 9
= 5 17/12 (12÷3) X 2 = 8
3. Add the fractions and the
