understood how the law on dismissals applies to
a case study

Case Study
ScienceTech (“STL”) seeks your advice on the following
situations:
1) Rizwan is an employee who is not performing well.
He started at STL 6 months ago, and STL would like
to dismiss him.
2) Janet is a long term employee who has been caught
on CCTV stealing a mobile phone from a colleague.
3) STL needs to reduce staffing in the call centre, due
to a large fall in call volume recently. Most call
centre employees have worked there for a very long
time.
