Customs of Rome

Rome has many customs, some stranger than others, here we have 5 that are some of them.
1. Passion for spas: The pleasure of visiting this type of hot springs makes them one of the most visited places in
terms of the tourism and leisure sector. As a cult of hot springs, modern civilization still continues to carry out this
type of hygiene and relaxation praxis.
2. Hair aesthetics: In Ancient Rome, as now, baldness was frowned upon, as it was associated with old age and sexual
impotence. Therefore, good hair was synonymous with vigor, both in men and women.
3. Wedding ceremony that lasts for now: In Ancient Rome, not only was it frowned upon not to marry, but doing so
was an obligation and singles were punished. Another similarity was the bride's clothing, since she had to wear a
long white tunic as a symbol of virginity and purity. With the final act of the "anullus", she gives herself the ring
which, in this case, was placed by the man.
4. Take Away: Many Romans did not have a kitchen in their homes and always opted for take-out orders. The
existence of home services is even known.
5. Sunday rest: It was officially declared as the day of rest and administrative rest by order of Caesar Constantine in
the year 321. Since then, we pay tribute to this wonderful day of relaxation.
What is the culture of the Romans like?

Roman culture was especially urban and dominating, with the colonies founded with Italian emigration
