 Facts about Visita Iglesia
 Visita Iglesia, or the Seven Churches
Visitation, is where you visit 7 churches in
Maundy Thursday to pray. Visita Iglesia is one
way to reflect Jesus’s life, passion, death, and
resurrection. This custom was introduced to us
from the Augustinian friars. The practice
entails us to go to seven churches and pay
homage on Christ’s sufferings.

My Experiences
 It was awesome. We visited Sorsogon to visit 7
churches and pray there. Sorsogon is a nice
place, but what I love most are the churches.
They are beautiful and cool. We spent 14 hours
of travel back and forth. We left home at 8AM
and went back at 10PM. It was still cool and
fun though. After 4 churches, we went to food
stalls, and it was delicious. It may be a tiring
experience but it’s still cool and awesome for
me.
My Learnings
 My learnings are I should pray fervently even
at the Holy Week. I should also spend more
time praying even with my family because
praying is more important than like, playing
games, etc. The Holy Week is a special week
for us to pray and attend mass for Jesus.
My Plans
 My plans for next year’s Holy Week are
attending the events that we did in the Holy
Week like prusisyons, mass, and more. I will
continue my devotion and faith in the Visita
Iglesia and remembering the sacrifices of Jesus
Christ. I will pray fervently everyday even at
Holy Week.
