Apostolate: A life of prayer leading to mystical union with Christ. This prayer, a joining

An announcement of change . . .
Who: Our Lady Mother of Divine Grace Community

What: Our ‘formation year’ is migrating to a ‘calendar year’ format

When: Beginning Jan 2015, but impacting our Sept-Dec 2014 meetings

Where: Same time, same place [St. Michael’s, 9 AM-Noon on the 2nd Saturday of the month]

Why:

1. To more closely conform with the Friar’s changes for Secular’s that began in 2009

2. It aligns us to a full ‘12-month, 24-month and 36-month course of study’ that is verified
on the forms sent to the Main Office for promises and scapulars

3. It aligns better with ‘Dues and Clarion’ payments

4. In election years, it conforms to the ‘calendar year’ that is used to determine eligibility for
voting

5. The East community (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel) has voted to make this change

6. Since Fr. Dailey has agreed to be the East community’s Spiritual Assistant, it logistically
makes the sense for his accepting promises and conferring scapulars
