ANALYZING BODY SHAPE

To Analyze the body shape first we have to calculate the size of the following body parts:
• Shoulders - measure around the highest point of your shoulders.

• Bust - measure around the chest over the fullest part of the breasts.

• ‍Waist - measure around the smallest point of your waist.

• ‍Hips - measure around the hip over the largest part of the buttocks.
BODY SHAPE OF MY FRIEND

• The body shape of my friend is “Pear body


shape”.
• Firstly we have measure the shoulder size,
bust size, waist size and hip size.
• After the measurement we come to the
conclusion that She has a “Pear Shaped
Body ” as her hip size is wider than the bust
and shoulder size.
DRESSING FOR PEAR SHAPED BODY

• The pear body shape is heavier on the bottom which creates an imbalance with the upper
half of the body. The key to dressing this body shape is to take attention away from the
wider hips and to draw it towards the upper body and defined waist instead.

• You want to create the visual illusion of volume on the upper body while emphasizing the
waist and de-emphasizing the lower body to create a balanced silhouette.
SOME TIPS FOR MY FRIEND
• Focus on structured shoulders to visually widen the shoulder line
• Invest in a good push-up bra to lift your chest
• Wear bright colors on your upper body
• Use eye-catching prints, textures and details strategically to create interest on top
• Wear fitted clothes to accentuate the waist
• Layering on your top half creates visual interest and draws the eye upwards
• Keep away from boxy tops that hide the waist
• Wear darker colors on your lower body
DRESS TO BE AVOIDED BY HER

• Avoid skinny and tight bottoms that emphasize the wide hips.

• Avoid details, patterns, pockets on your thigh and hip area and belts on your hips.

• Avoid wearing mini skirts and booty shorts.

• Avoid body con dresses.

• Avoid High waist jeans.


WINTER STYLING

• JACKET: Mid thigh length structured shoulders neckline embellishments.

• KNITWEAR: To flatter the pear shape, opt for shorter jumpers that hit just at the hip
bones.

• SWEATERS: Loose, long sweaters that hit mid-thighs are also flattering for the pear body
shape.

• COATS: The best coat length sits right under the hips and mid-thigh.
