THE WAREHOUSE
SYSTEMS AND
METHODOLOGY
OF COUNTING
SYSTEMS AND METHODOLOGY OF COUNTING

Some of the most-used

types of counting are cycle
counting, spot counting
(sometimes also known as
ad-hoc or blind
counting), and tag
counting.
SYSTEMS AND METHODOLOGY OF COUNTING

Cycle Counting - is a method

of checks and balances by
which companies confirm
physical inventory counts
match their inventory
records.
SYSTEMS AND METHODOLOGY OF COUNTING

Cycle Counting -cycle

counting is about counting
in cycles. You do not count
your full inventory at once
but do it in parts.
SYSTEMS AND METHODOLOGY OF COUNTING

Ad-Hoc Counting - also

known as spot or blind
counting, refers to inventory
counts which are unscheduled
and unplanned. This inventory
counting method is often used
to rectify inventory record
inaccuracies observed outside
of a counting period.
SYSTEMS AND METHODOLOGY OF COUNTING

TAG COUNTING- A tag

count is the method for
counting all items in a
location. When you
perform a tag count, you
physically tag and count
all items twice by location.
Knowing What
Is Inside The
Warehouse
WAREHOUSE:
 is a facility that, along with
storage racks, handling
equipment and personnel and
management resources, allows
us to control the differences
between the incoming flow of
goods (received from suppliers,
production centers, etc.) and
the outgoing flow of goods
(goods being sent to
production, sales, etc.).
WHAT IS INSIDE THE
WAREHOUSE?
•Storage Systems
•Lift Equipment
•Dock Equipment
•Conveyors
•Facility Equipment
•Bins & Containers
•Packaging Equipment
STORAGE
SYSTEMS
STORAGE SYSTEMS

systems, such as shelves
and containers, and is
used to store and organize
all equipment and goods.
TYPES OF STORAGE SYSTEMS

 STATIC SHELVING
 MOBILE SHELVING
 PALLET RACKS
 INDUSTRIAL SHELVING
 MULTI-TIER RACKING
 MEZZANINE FLOORING
 WIRE PARTITIONS
STATIC SHELVING
• STATIC SHELVES are fitted
into a set position and held in
place to provide a permanent
structure and stability. These
installations are often chosen
for open storage environments
that have a large number of
items which need to be stored,
such as warehouses.
MOBILE SHELVING
• MOBILE SHELVING mobile
aisle shelving, compactus,
roller racking, or rolling
stack, are terms applied
to shelving or storage
units fitted with wheeled
traction systems.
PALLET RACKS
• PALLET RACKS is a material
handling storage aid system
designed to store materials on
pallets (or “skids”). Although there
are many varieties of pallet
racking, all types allow for the
storage of palletized materials in
horizontal rows with multiple
levels. Forklift trucks are usually
required to place the loaded pallets
onto the racks for storage
INDUSTRIAL SHELVING

• INDUSTRIAL SHELVING can

be steel shelving, open or
closed shelving, or heavy duty
shelving.
MULTI-TIER RACKING

• MULTI TIER RACKING it is a

solution in height based on
the long-span shelving system.
It is ideal for manual storage
where available space is
limited. This system provides
excellent maximization of
height by creating different
floor levels accessed by means
of stairways.
MEZZANINE FLOORING

• MEZZANINE FLOORING also

can be called steel platform,
which raises efficiency of
warehouse space usage.
WIRE PARTITIONS

• WIRE PARTITIONS are modular

steel systems that are used for
safety, security, and separation.
