A Doll's House By Henrik Ibsen
Henrik Ibsen was a Norwegian playwright who directed the National Theatre at Bergen from 1857 to 1863. He then traveled to Europe, writing
moral tragedies and satires, and studied middle-class morality in plays like A Doll's House, Ghosts, An Enemy of the People, The Wild Duck,
and Rosmersholm. Ibsen emphasized character over plot, addressing social issues like political corruption, women's roles, and psychological
conflicts. He is considered the founder of modern prose drama.Ibsen wrote A Doll's House while Laura Kieler was detained perhaps to deal with
his guilt and shame in not helping his friend.

Ibsen sent a fair copy of the completed play to his publisher on 15 September 1879. It was first published in Copenhagen on 4 December 1879.

"A Doll's House" is a three-act play about a housewife who becomes disillusioned and dissatisfied with her condescending husband.

Shakespeare
William Shakespeare, an English poet, playwright, and actor, was born in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon. He was a
prolific writer during the Elizabethan and Jacobean ages of British theatre, with his plays and poems remaining
popular today.

The Tempest was not in print until the 1623 Folio of Shakespeare's plays was published after his death.

Prospero uses magic to torment survivors of a shipwreck, including the King of Naples and his brother Antonio.
Caliban's slave, Ariel, thwarts his plan. Ferdinand's love for Miranda is sparked by Prospero's revelation, resolving
conflict.

GLOBAL ISSUES:
The important themes in The Tempest are: Freedom. Empathy and forgiveness. Nature versus nurture.

The Worlds Wife by Carol Ann
Duffy
Carol Ann Duffy is the author or editor of several books of poetry, including The World's Wife, Rapture, and
children's books. She has received, among other honors, the Forward Prize, the Whitbread Poetry Prize, the Lannan
Prize and the E. M. Forster Prize for her work.

The World Wife is a collection of poems by Carol Ann Duffy, first published in the UK in 1999 by Picador and
Anvil Press Poetry, and then published in the US by Faber and Faber in 2000. In The World's Wife, Duffy overturns
the popular notion that men and their thinking are superior and more valuable. She imagines the minds of the wives
of men who are deemed "amazing" for their work, whether in the fields of science or literature.

The World's Wife (2000) is a collection of dramatic monologues about the wives of famous historical and mythical
heroes or female versions of the heroes themselves:
Queen Herod, Madame Faust, the Kray sisters, Elvis' twin sister.

GLOBAL ISSUES:
Carol Ann Duffy's The World's Wife made an excellent way to tackle the issues of sexism, inequality, death and the
beginning of life.

DAMN by Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar Duckworth is an American rapper and songwriter. Known for
his progressive musical style and socially conscious composition, he is often
considered one of the most influential hip hop artists of his generation.

Released on April 14, 2017 through Top Dawg Entertainment.

Inside Out is basically a story that describes what would have happened to
Kendrick if Top Dog had shot Ducky at the end of Duckworth. Duckworth
sets the stage and tells the story of Anthony and Ducky and you get a trailer
announcing what will happen to Kenny for this along with the sound of
gunfire and a blood.
