Section Cut Rules for Axial Force
• Model should always be made in positive direction
of Global Axis as shown.
• Secion cut should always be made clockwise as
shown.
• In “Result Reported Are on This Side of Elements”
use always “Positive 3 Axis Side of Quadrilateral” as
shown in next figure 2.
• After all these rules are followed, negative axial
force shall be tension force and positive axial force
shall be negative.
