HUMANITIES
 Comes from the Latin word HUMANUS-meaning human,
refined, and cultured.
 It deals with the study of ancient and modern languages,
literature, law, history, philosophy, religion, films, and visual
and performing arts.
 It is also regarded as social sciences.
 Scholars working in this field often regarded as “HUMANIST”.
 Protagoras was the first humanist popularized by his dictum,
“Man is the measure of all things.”
