blessing.
2. To confirm divine responsibility
Deu 6:5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your
soul, and with all your strength.
Deu 6:6 Never forget these commands that I am giving you today.
Deu 6:7 Teach them to your children. Repeat them when you are at
home and when you are away, when you are resting and
when you are working.
Deut 6:20 Someday your children will ask, "Why did the LORD

give us these laws and teachings?“
To dedicate your child to the LORD…
3. To make a solemn covenant of worship
1Sa 1:28 So I am dedicating him to the LORD.
As long as he lives, he will belong
to the LORD." Then they
worshiped the LORD there.
