INTRODUCTION
Singapore is a city-state located in
Southeast Asia.It is situated at the
southern tip of the Malay
Peninsula.The country consists of one
main island and numerous smaller
islands.Singapore is a sovereign
republic with a parliamentary system
of government.Singapore is a member
of the United Nations, the World Trade
Organization, the Commonwealth of
Nations, the Association of Southeast
Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the Asia-
Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

• POPULATION SIZE: Singapore has a population size


of 5.45 million people.

• AGE STRUCTURE: Singapore has a relatively young


population with a median age of 37.6 years.

• GENDER DISTRIBUTION: The gender distribution in


Singapore is relatively equal, with men making up 51.3% of the
population and women making up 48.7% of the population.

• RACE AND ETHNICITY: The majority of Singapore's


population is Chinese (75.9%), followed by Malays (15.0%) and
Indians (7.5%). There is also a small minority of other races and
ethnicities living in the country.
