QC Manager Qualifications

• Employed by the prime contractor


• Graduate of engineering, architecture, or
construction management
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Completed CQM course
QC Inspector
Qualifications
• Civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural:
• Relevant degree in engineering or construction
management and 2 years of related experience OR
• A person with 5 years of related experience

• Architectural:
• Architecture degree and
2 years of related experience OR
• A person with 5 years of
related experience
Submittal Clerk Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience on an AED


project
• Knowledge of QCS software
QC Manager Responsibilities

• On-site at all times during construction


• Must NOT have duties as superintendent
• Has authority to stop work
QC Manager Responsibilities

• Reviews contract, plans and specifications


• clears up any discrepancies with RFI’s

• Select materials and equipment to ensure


adequacy and connectivity
• Ensure work conforms to
plans and specifications

• Overall management of effective QC


• Reviews, approves submittals
• Three phases of inspection
• QC tests
• Tracking deficiencies
• Daily QC reports
• Implementation of QCS!
QC Manager Responsibilities

3. Can Stop Work!
4. Reviews Submittals!
5. Ensures work complies with Plans &
Specs.
6. 3 Phase Inspections are Performed.
7. Performs QC Tests.
8. Write Daily Reports.
