Game of Life: Your Dream Life

MLB Player The responsibilities to be an MLB player
is to stay in shape for the season year
round. There is also practice with the
team whether its inside or outside. There
is also a chance that you could change
teams so you could be moving around
the country. A perk is that there is no
educational level required to be eligible.
It’s based on your skill for the game.
Although most players have been to
college before this career
MLB Player The average salary for a player is 4.9$
million dollars but most players make
less than that. The least amount of
money you can make in the league is
720,000$ USD Annually. You would
spend around 81 days on the road for
away games as a player. Although all the
training and home games will be around
where you live. Preferably I would want
to play for the Colorado Rockies as it is
a hometown team for me.
Education/Training There is no educational requirement to
be a MLB player but I will complete
high school a go to college anyway
(hopefully a D1 school and with
scholarship). I hope to go to a western
school like Oregon or Washington which
both look like good schools. I don’t
know what i’m interested in yet but i’ll
find a good school for my interests.
Education/Training Most of the big schools in the west are
around 50,000$ for out of state tuition
but some of the smaller schools are
15,000$ out of state tuition. I would
need help to pay for these schools but if
I can manage a scholarship from one of
these schools that would be ideal.
Housing I would live somewhere in the United
states to play the sport even for all the
minor league teams around the country.
And depending on where I live it will be
a reasonable distance from the home
ballpark. Teams also provide in season
housing if i’m in a lower level league but
as a Major leaguer I would live in a
house with multiple floors and not
connected to another building. AKA a
single family home.
Housing 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 3,000 sq feet. I
will live in South denver in the Cherry
Creek area and this house will cost 1.4
million dollars. The gas prices are
around 2 dollars per gallon which is
good. The water bill is 41 dollars per
month and electricity is 89 dollars per
month but that could be higher with my
house. Cable and internet is 110 dollars a
month.
Transportation I would be able to afford a nice car like a
luxury truck. Not a supercar or a sporty
car or anything like that. The cost for my
truck will be whatever the gas bill is per
month. Unless crashes make that total
higher. I would make a full payment for
the GMC Sierra of around 50,000$ and
won’t need a car loan.
Family Yes, I would hope to have a family with
a women and have 2-3 kids. I want a
family because I don’t want to be alone
in the future and kids would definitely
keep me busy, as well as a wife. One
kids childcare would cost around 2,400$
per month where I live. The average cost
for a kid in Colorado is 1,334$ per
month.
Hobbies If I live in Colorado then I could be
close to the mountains so I could ski and
play baseball. Skiing is one of my
favorite things to do and I would hate if I
didn’t have time for it anymore. That’s
why I would want to live close to the
mountains in the offseason so I could ski
if I wanted to. I would also love to teach
my kids how to ski.
Hobbies Another thing that I would do a lot is
help out with the community like
community service or donations and
stuff like that. That would be a big part
of what I did in the offseason as well.
Cooking is also something that I would
like to do a lot. I love to cook now and
that would be something big that I could
do.
Travel I don’t like traveling very far out of the
country but I like to go to beaches so
most of my vacations would be around
the caribbean. A vacation to the
caribbean for a family of 4 would be
around 6,000$. I hope to travel at least
once a year if not more. I hope to go to
nearly every spot there is to visit in the
caribbean.
Travel Scuba Diving is something that I would
keep wanting to do a lot and I could do
that on my trips. I just want to get to the
ocean and eat street food on every
vacation I take. That would be a dream
come true. Right now I go Scuba Diving
a lot so if I could do that for the rest of
my life that would be incredible.
