The Thinking Muslim

Story of Prophet
Adam (pbuh) By Rameez Abid
In the beginning, there was Allah.
There were no trees and no animals.
There was no sky, sun, or moon. There
was no Mama and Baba. There were no
people at all.

Quesion: In the beginning, there was only who?

2
Then Allah made the sky, sun,
moon, animals, trees, and
everything that we see around us.

Question: Who made everything we see around

us?

3
Allah made the angels from
light. They are always good.
They always listen to Allah and
never say no.

Question: Allah made the angels from what?

4
Allah also made jinns from fire.
Some of them are good and
others are bad. The good ones
listen to Allah and the bad ones
do not.

Question: Allah made the jinns from what?

5
Allah also made a jinn named
Iblees. He is one of the bad jinns
and does not listen to Allah.

Question: What was the bad jinn's name that

Allah made?

6
Then Allah decided to make a
man named Adam. Allah
gathered dirt from all over the
earth. Then Allah put it all
together to make Adam.

Question: Allah put all the dirt together to

make who?

7
Adam was very good. He loved Allah and
always listened to Him. Allah taught
Adam names of all things.

Adam used to live in a beautiful place

called Jannah.

Allah also made a wife for Adam in

Jannah. Her name was Hawwa.

Questions: What was the name of Adam's wife?

Where did they live?
8
Iblees did not like Adam. He did not
like that Allah made him.

Allah told all the angels to make

prostration to Adam. They all did so
but Iblees said no.

Questions: Allah told the angels to make what

to Adam? Who did not make sajda?

9
Allah asked Iblees, “Why did you not
make prostration?” Iblees said,
“Because I am better than Adam. You
made him from dirt and me from
fire.”

So Allah told Iblees to leave and

never come back.

Question: What did Allah tell Iblees to do?

10
Iblees became very angry and
jealous of Adam. He did not want
Allah to be nice to Adam.

Allah told Adam to watch out for

Iblees.

Question: Who was Iblees angry with?

11
In Jannah there was a tree and
Allah told Adam and Hawwa not
to go near it.

They could eat from any other

tree but just not that one tree.

Question: Allah told Adam and Hawwa not to

go near what?

12
Iblees snuck up to Adam and Hawwa
and told them to eat from the tree.
Adam and Hawwa said no because
Allah does not like that.

But Iblees kept telling them to eat from

it until both Adam and Hawwa said ok
and ate from the tree.

Question: What did Adam and Hawa do?

13
This was a mistake! Allah did not like
that Adam and Hawwa ate from it and
asked why they ate from the tree?
Adam and Hawaa felt bad and said
sorry to Allah so He forgave them.

Then Allah sent Adam, Hawwa, and

Iblees to planet Earth.

Questions: Allah sent all three to where? What

did Adam and Hawa feel? Who did they say
sorry to?
14
But Iblees did not feel bad at all.
He did not say sorry to Allah
and said he will keep coming
after Adam, Hawwa, and their
kids.

Questions: Did Iblees feel bad? Did Iblees say

sorry to Allah?

15
Adam and Hawwa had many children.
Adam told his children about Allah and
to always listen to Allah and pray to
Him.

Adam also told his children to be

careful of Iblees and his tricks because
Iblees is bad.

Question: Whom did Adam tell his children

about? Whom did Adam say to be careful of?
16
Adam was the first prophet sent by
Allah. Allah sent other prophets too.

The prophets were the best of people.

They were nice, brave, and loved Allah
very much.

We should all try to be like the prophets

too!

Questions: Adam was a what? Whom do the

prophets love? We should be like whom?
