Oil Separator Concept
• The paint/solvent wastewater has
similar properties as oil in water

• By density difference, lighter

liquid/particles/flocs will float to
surface

• Heavy particle settle down by gravity

• ‘Lamella plates increase the surface

area, further promote the separation

• Sludge layer float to surface and

scrapped away by skimmer

• Can specify material of construction:

mild steel + epoxy or FRP lining, SS304
Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) Concept
• Utilize microbubble to further
enhance the ‘floating’ of the lighter
flocs
• Stronger separation compare to
gravity alone
• Come with internal circulation pump,
air compressor and microbubble
generation system. Too much sludge
may clogged up the nozzles
• Similar to gravity oil separator: lamella
plates, top skimmer
• Can specify material of construction:
mild steel + epoxy or FRP lining, SS304
