What is DRAMA?

a play for theater, radio, or television.

 an exciting, emotional, or unexpected series of events or set


of circumstances

 Ang drama ay isang spesipikong moda ng kathang-isip na


kinakatawan ang pagkakaganap. Hango ito sa Griyego na
nangangahulugang "aksiyon", na hinango mula sa "gagawin".
Ginaganap ang mga drama sa iba't ibang media: teatro, radyo,
pelikula, at telebisyon.
This is based on drama principles that are
fundamental to learning the related roles of:

 Player

 Playmaker

 Audience
The students primarily explore concepts found
in the role of the player:
 Relaxation

 Body Movement (nonlocomotory, shape, relationships)

 The sense of sight

 Imagining & improvising action in a relationship between


two persons in an imagined environment.
The drama experience can only be
successful if the students have acquired
some basic drama skills and have learned
how to use the dramatic process with
confidence & understanding.

 Emotions for expression through improvised action &


speech

Generalization

 A contemporary performer artist should be focus along the way


in doing all forms of art especially in dramatic arts.
 Listen to what other says about your performance to become
full-grown artist.
 Be open-minded and accept criticism as this will help you to do
better.
Task 1: In a half piece of yellow pad or Activity
Sheet, answer the following questions below

 1. Give at least five (5) Philippine movies that you have watched.

 2. Among from those five, which is your favorite movie and why
did you like it? 10 sentences.
