SS Ourang Medan
S.S. Ourang Medan was a Dutch cargo ship which exploded in
the waters of the Malacca Strait after its entire crew was killed
due to perhaps poisonous gas or something else.
According to the story, in 1940's, two American ships in the Strait of
Malacca, the City Of Baltimore and the Silver Star received a message from
the Dutch ship Ourang Medan. The radio operator of the ship reported the
death of the captain and his entire crew, and finally, he said "I will die". The
crew of the Silver Star then decided to go to the location of the ship. When
the Silver Star crew arrived at the location where the SS Ourang Medan was
supposed to be, they found the ship adrift and seemingly abandoned. There
were no signs of life on board
The crew of the SS Silver Star decided to search the ship for
survivors. When they boarded the SS Ourang Medan, the ship’s
decks were littered with dead bodies. The condition of the
corpses was disturbing: their eyes were open and staring, their
faces were twisted in terror, and their limbs were rigid and
contorted. The bodies had their arms outstretched, and mouths
gaping in a silent scream. The crew of the Silver Star decided
to tow the SS Ourang Medan to port, but before they could do
so, a fire broke out in the ship’s 4th cargo hold. The rescue
crew had to abandon the ship, and moments later, the SS
Ourang Medan exploded and sank. There were no survivors
and no explanation for what had happened.
The cause of the death of the crew and the explosion remains unknown.
One theory suggests that there was a chemical leak and the ship was carrying a highly toxic and volatile
substance that could have been the cause of the fire or sudden dead

Another theory suggests that the crew of the SS Ourang Medan encountered pirates or smugglers who
killed them and then staged the distress message to lure in potential rescuers.

Another theory says that the SS Ourang Medan fell victim to supernatural or extraterrestrial forces, such
as a cursed artifact, a ghostly presence, or an alien encounter.

However the ship register was never found, some people suggest that the ship was registered in Sumatra
or classified by the government. Until know the truth about the SS Ourang Medan remains a mystery
