PLOT
◦Santiago was an old fisherman who fished in the Gulf stream for almost
three months and failed to catch a single fish
◦There was a boy with him for the first forty days, Manoline, who gave up
◦One morning, as always, Santiago went fishing. This time he went even
further from the shore where the water was even deeper, the fish bit the
hook, but a problem appeared

◦ Sharks appeared on the way. Santiago fought with them, tried to escape
from them, but failed, they ate his whole fish
◦Only the head and bones remained offish and fish was 5.5 meters long
◦The next morning when old man Santiago woke up, young Manoline was
standing next to him, who promised him that from now on he would
always go fishing with him
