Thanksgiving is celebrated in the United States and Canada.

Originally,
Thanksgiving was celebrated to give thanks for a plentiful harvest.
Today, it is a day to give thanks to our family and friends and all of the
blessings in our lives
History

The first Thanksgiving was in 1621


when the pilgrims invited the Indians
to a three-day feast to celebrate the
successful autumn harvest.The
pilgrims were having trouble growing
and catching food, so the Indians
helped them. Indian,s taught them
to grow corn.The tribe also donated
food to them when they ran out of
supplies from England.

were so many wild turkeys in Plymouth
Colony for the pilgrims to hunt.

• Every Thanksgiving There is a huge parade called “The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade”, which
takes place in New York City.There is also always a big football game on in the afternoon.
