    Almighty and loving Father
    Creator of heaven and earth
    We praise and adore You.
    We thank You Father for this precious gift of life.
    We thank You for this wonderful day.
    Father, we are gathered here today on the first hour of our
    work week to listen to Your words.
    Send us Your Holy Spirit to be our guide
    And give us the wisdom to understand what we are about
    to hear.
    All these we pray through Jesus Christ Your Son
    Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy
    Spirit
