DECISION MAKING

AND MENTAL HEALTH

RATIONALE
In China, a number of psychological processes lend support to the idea that environmental
factors and mental health may have evolved in tandem. First off, it is generally recognized
that mental diseases like worry and unhappiness in adults and cognitive impairment in
children are linked to a lack of greenness (Xue et al., 2019). According to the researcher's
findings, environmental regulations that lessen greenhouse gas emissions or air pollution can
benefit Chinese citizens' mental health.
OBJECTIVES AND HYPOTHESIS

• 1. To determine the level of decision making among senior high school gas students
• 2. To determine the level of mental health among senior high school gas students
• 3. To test the significant relationship between decision making among senior high school
gas students.
There is no significant relationship between decision making and mental health among senior
high gas students.
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
In mental health care, doctors and patients collaborate to make decisions through shared
decision making (SDM). The main components of SDM have been recognized, decision aids
have been created, and SDM has been advocated at the policy level for mental health. Yet there
is still little implementation. There are commonly two arguments put up in favor of SDM. The
clinical justification claims that SDM results in better outcomes, although the empirical data are
not conclusive. SDM is justified ethically as a right, but doctors must strike a balance between
beneficence and non-maleficence with the biological ethical principles of autonomy and
fairness. It is asserted that SDM is "polyvalent," a sociological term for a notion that commands
surface-level but not profound agreement among diverse stakeholders. SDM implementation
Regular access to mental health services is both a cultural and technical issue (Slade 2017).
