• Hello! Welcome to our today excursion! I hope you will enjoy. We are
going to visit 3 places.
Railway Museum
• First is Latvian Railway History Museum
• It was established on August 30, 1994, and contains more than a
thousand railway-related items.
• It is always great to see real size old trains. Most of them are outside.
However, you can get inside them only on guided tours. The museum
interior is quite small but there was a big miniature railway.
Laima Chocolate factory
• Chocolate factory Laima
• In Laima Chocolate Museum you can enjoy chocolate with all the
senses – to see, to taste, to hear and to feel.
• Laima's chocolate dates back to 1870 when the German businessman
Teodors Rigerts) founded his company in Riga and began to delight
the people of Riga and Latvia with chocolate delicacies.
Boat during
• Our final trip for today will be by boat
• During the journey along the Canal, you will enjoy a great view of the
Kronvalda Park, the Bastion Hill (Bastejkalns), the Freedom
Monument, the Latvian National Opera.
