ENERGY
There are two types of geothermal energy: deep geothermal energy and surface geothermal
energy.
Deep geothermal energy consists of recovering heat from the earth’s crust to produce
heating heat by drawing water which circulates in geological layers several thousand meters
deep. It is difficult to transport and must therefore be used on site.
Surface geothermal energy is based on the exploitation and recovery of heat in winter and
coolness in summer in the first layer of the soil.
• Basically, geothermal energy is the exploitation of heat from the contents of the earth’s
crust.
