•The Naga tribe is a group of indigenous people primarily located in


the northeastern region of India, particularly in the states of
Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and some parts of Assam.
Here is some information about the Naga tribe in India:​

Cultural Diversity: The Naga tribe is not a single, homogeneous


group but rather consists of several distinct Naga tribes, each with
its own unique language, culture, and traditions. Some of the
prominent Naga tribes include the Angami, Ao, Sema, Lotha, and
Konyak, among others.​

Cherokee tribe

•Centuries of Existence: The Cherokee tribe has a history dating
back over a thousand years, originating in the Southeastern
United States.
•Advanced Culture: They had a sophisticated culture with
agriculture, a written language (Cherokee syllabary), and complex
social structures.
•Trail of Tears: In the 1830s, they endured the tragic forced
removal known as the Trail of Tears, resulting in the deaths of
many Cherokee.
•Government System: The Cherokee Nation adopted a
constitution in 1827, establishing a democratic government with
three branches.
•Resilience Today: Despite challenges, the Cherokee Nation is a
thriving, federally recognized tribe with a strong cultural identity
and a significant presence in Oklahoma.

KHONDS~Bhargavi Vadali
 Khonds are an indigenous Adivasi tribal community in India.
 Khond, are the people of the hills and jungles of Orissa state,
India.
 Mariah was a practice of human sacrifice which was practiced by
the Khonds.
 The British banned the Mariah practice which led to the Khond
Uprising.
 The Khond Uprisings in Orissa took place in 1837 and 1856. The
head of the Khonds was Chakra Bisoi. The Orissan Khonds
played a key role in organizing the uprising against the British
administration in 1857. Those who rebelled included tribes
from Ghumsar, China ki Medi, Kalahandi, and Patna

•The Bhil revolt of 1818, one of the first uprisings
undertaken by a tribal group in the country.
•The reason for the uprising was the brutal treatment of
the Bhils at the hands of the East India Company who
denied them their traditional forest rights and exploited
them.
•The Bhil people, rebelled against British colonial rule
and oppressive land policies. The revolt took place in
various parts of western and central India, with Bhil
leaders and communities resisting British authority and
demanding better land rights and autonomy.
