Introduction
 Taichung City, is the third largest city in Taiwan.
 Taichung City’s executive branch is headed by a strong-
mayor, Jason Hu.
 Taichung City Government's Seventh Redevelopment Zone
center exceeded NT$1 million per ping (36 square feet) and
reached NT$1,285,000. This was a landmark towards
establishing the new luxury real estate trend.
 Today, Taichung City is well-known for its various shopping
districts.
 As investors and potential investors consider the city's overall
qualities at present, they also consider it's very important to
understand future development as well.
The change of city center
 Taichung’s old city center is near by taichung
railway station.
 And there is an moving plane now,
government try moving city hall and another
government organization to 7th redevelopment
Zone.
 Because of old city center is crowded and no
developed space, we can say the old one is
dead, no
The change of city center
 If Taichung City want to become a laeger City
than before, it has to move the city center.
 Thus the government find 7th Redevelopment
Zone to construct their no City Hall, and other
government organization.
 Now Taichung’s City center is still in the old
one near by station, but it will change soon.
Living in the lap of luxury – 7th
Redevelopment Zone
 In the earlier days of city development, the National Museum
of Natural Science and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine
Arts were connected by the green belt of JingGuo Parkway
and were considered a high concentration of luxury
residences.
 Following the real estate boom of the past couple years,
however, Taichung's business center has gradually moved to
Xitun and Nantun districts.
 As the city's new hub for political, commercial and
economical facilities, many large-scale department stores have
also been built or are planned for these areas.
 Within this new special area original landscape designs and
public construction projects have combined to create plenty of
open space and the sites for a planned new city hall and
metropolitan opera house.
Living in the lap of luxury – 7th
Redevelopment Zone
 As a result, the Seventh Redevelopment Zone has become a competitive
"battleground" for newly-built luxury mansions and apartments.
 These new developments will also contribute to the attractiveness of this
new cluster of grand residences.
 Theses residences are often designed and planned by famous architects or
landscape planners.
 As for parking space, very few mechanical parking elevators--popular in so
many local apartments--are found here.
 With the progress of technology, newly-developed methods and material
are used in construction.
 Overall, the two most important attributes of these luxury residences are
the provision of outstanding facilities and flawless public spaces, together
with top-notch security systems.
 Seventh Redevelopment Zone not only to satisfies the need for comfortable
living, but also serves as a lasting symbol of status and position in society
which can be cherished for many years to come.
Tunghai University
A. History of Tunghai University
 They used to have thirteen Christian
colleges in China; however, they were all
blighted by apparat.
 In 1950, Christianity in Taiwan began to
establish a Christian college.
 During 1952 to 1953, they kept preparing
the university, and in 1953 they decided
the name of the college, Tunghai.
 From 1953 to 2007, Tunghai University has
changed seven presidents, and the departments
are increasing.
 Tunghai also established senior, elementary
school and kindergarten few years after
university has established.

Taichung Railway Station
The section of Middle Taiwan

The jurisdiction of Taichung

transportation branch in the center
section of Taiwan includes eleven
stations. It saperate to two lines
from Jhunan station to Changhua
staion.
On the right side is the Mountain
Line, it includes Jhunan, Miaoli,
Fongyuan,
Tanzih, Taichung.

Appearance

This station building was made of

reddish brown bricks,
supplemented by white stones.
The roof is short and tilts at a sharp angle,
with the center having an upright roof
and magnificent medals on the top.
Square-shaped double columns extend
downwards from the two ends of the walls,
with alternate bands of red and white strips,
similar to the architectural style for
the President House.

On the second floor of the station, there are continuous arc-shaped windows,
with the vaults on the arc-shaped windows serving as frames for eaves. Turrets
on the two sides of the building to adjust the monotony of the roof. The greatest
feature of the station is the pointed clock tower in the center of the walls. It makes
the station more magnificent, with an artistic taste. The towering design of the
waiting hall in the station, together with the refined sculpture and hallways and
pillars and arch-shaped crossbeams, fully shows the attempt and the impressive
styles the Japanese people made for Taichung Station as the gateway of the
central Taiwan.
Warehouse No. 20
The warehouse was built in 1930’s
during the Japanese occupation.
Warehouse No. 20 refers to the seven
linked cargo warehouses No. 20 to No. 26
of Taiwan Railway inside the Taichung
railway station.

To fill new life and culture to railways,

warehouses were then renovated into arts
halls, which were then open on June 9
2000. Then, Warehouse No. 20 has been
sued for reception, exhibitions,
interdisciplinary arts and culture activities,
office and recreational sites.
The railway station is
the busiest and most
crowed place of Taichung,
and also the pivotal center
of transportation.
If you think life is boring
and want some
inspiration, you can
ramble around Taichung
Railway Station. You will
find that this place is so
diverse and spectacular.

 JingMing 1st Street is among Taichung's best-known
attractions with local and foreign visitors.
 JingMing 1st Street is conveniently located in the heart of
Taichung's "Little Europe" neighborhood.
 It is created in the early 1990s as part of a private residential
complex; the 60-meter-long pedestrian-only street includes
sidewalk cafes and teahouses. Therefore, it is also called “Tea
Street”.
 There are a number of boutiques and shops selling medium-to-
high-end clothing, jewelry, beauty/health products, fashion
accessories, handicrafts and art.
