BACKGROUND STUDY :
INTRODUCTION • Acoustic treatment produces Comfort for our hearing in
term of pleasantness and quality of the sound and avoid
PROBLEM STATEMENT : unnecessary noise in a room
No data regarding the accuracy of the • FEM simulation is a trending way to analysis the Acoustic
Simulation result based on the experiment. Pressure of the room
The comparison needed to find the:
• FEM Simulation is easy and Quick with CAE Software
• Type of errors occurs during simulation
• Limitation of the CAE Software
regarding the Boundaries Condition
SCOPE AND LIMITATION
The scope and limitation of the study are:
• Research will be conducted with Computer Aided Engineering
OBJECTIVES OF STUDY: Software for acoustic sound analysis problems (COMSOL)

I. Model reverberation chamber acoustic • Study analyses on experiment setup from (University of the
West of England, 2017)
system from [8] using COMSOL Multiphysics
6.0 Software • The study will be analyses frequency responses on rectangular
shape
II. Evaluate the accuracy and validation • Research will be conducted the unit perimeter in Decibel(dB)
of the simulation by comparing the simulated
data with the values obtained experimentally [8] • This study compares on the Sound Pressure level from the
simulated data with the values obtained experimentally by other
researchers.
• This study will be evaluating the validity of simulation result
with the confidence level and standard deviation values
• Result valid on rectangular room

Comparison Phase
The comparison will be on the Sound Pressure Level and the
eigenfrequency from both data experiment and simulation. The
comparison will be tabulated in a table to clarify the differences
between two data and will plot on the same graph to see
differences in the gradient of the graph.
STATISTICAL APPROACH

STANDARD DEVIATION PERCENTAGE ERRORS

EXPECTED RESULT and HYPOTHESIS
1. Small percentage error has found in simulation compare with the
experiment as the reference value
2. The error found is due to limitation of software to imitate the real-
life environment
Potential of commercialization
 Precision in simulation results is crucial for achieving sustainability across social, economic, and
environmental aspects.
 The accuracy of simulations allows sound engineers to confidently initiate the digitalization process without
the need for on-site experiments.
 This approach reduces the risks associated with contamination and material waste.
 The validated simulation results can be commercialized and serve as a convincing argument for engineers to
prefer software over costly experimental methods.
