Employee’s performance depends on various
factors, but the most important factor is training, which enhances the capabilities of employees (Raja, Furqan & Khan, 2011). Employees who have more on the job experience tends to perform better because there is an increase in the both their skills and competencies resulting from more on the job experience (Fakhar & Khan, 2008). Introduction Training also has impact on the return on investment since the organizational performance depends on employee performance because human resource capital of organization plays an important role in the growth and development of such organization. So, to improve the organizational performance and the employee performance, training is given to the employee of the organization, whereas employees’ development can be defined as a process where the employees with the support of the employer undergo various training programs to enhance their skills and acquire updated knowledge and learning (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart & Wright 2004). Introduction As a developing country, the Philippines is seriously embarking on its efforts to drive economic growth and improve its competitiveness and productivity in order to increase employment opportunities and reduce poverty. This is anchored on the inclusive growth framework of the present administration of the Philippine government, which requires that sustained economic growth must “massively create jobs, draw vast majority into the economic and social mainstream and continuously reduce mass poverty.” According to business and labor alike, productivity gainsharing is seen to be the missing puzzle of the labor and management community towards poverty alleviation, economic contribution business efficiency and global competitiveness. (Tabladillo, 2021) Issues and Concerns 1. What are the current issues on productivity engagement and success that the Philippine Government Employees is facing? 2.What are the effects of such on the workforce and on the economy of the country? 3. What are the Government’s possible course of actions in order to mitigate and address such concerns? 4.
