CONCEPT PAPER FOR
ACADEMIC RESEARCH
TITLE- This can be best presented in a question
form.
INTRODUCTION- This is the brief overview of
the topic or issue you wish to study.
BACKGROUND- This section describes the
current condition of the field you’re researching,
including the knowledge and issues that the study
will address. You can also include the reason why
you want to investigate or study the topic.

PRELIMINARY- In this section, you will write related
studies and papers that will support your research topic.
METHODOLOGY- This section contains the data
analysis system, data gathering procedure, instruments to be
utilized or used, and participants of the study.
TIMELINESS- It provides a reasonable and
achievable timeline for your project.
REFERENCE- It provides all the list of all sources
of your research such as books, journals and other
resources cited in your paper. You may use
American Psychological Association (APA),
Modern Language Association (MLA) and the
Chicago Style.

: IMPLICIT AND EXPLICIT
CONCEPT PAPER
Implicit – implicit is, “implied or
understood though not plainly or
directly expressed.” Something is,
therefore, implicit when it is not
directly stated but is either suggested
in the wording or necessary to
effectuate the purpose.
Example: Technology caused horrors
in some respects.
EXPLICIT – “TO FULLY AND CLEARLY
EXPRESS SOMETHING, LEAVING NOTHING
IMPLIED.”
SOMETHING IS EXPLICIT WHEN IT IS
CLEARED STATED AND SPELLED OUT AND
THERE IS NO ROOM FOR CONFUSION, AS IN
THE WRITING OF A CONTRACT OR STATUTE.
