THE FIRST OFFICIAL TITLE OF THE CLUB WAS THE MOLDOVA CUP IN THE 1998-99 SEASON. THE
CLUB ACHIEVED PROMOTION TO THE TOP CATEGORY IN 1998, AFTER THE FIRST SEASON IN ITS
HISTORY, AND DOMINATED THE NAŢIONALĂ DIVIZE WITH TEN CONSECUTIVE TITLES FROM 2001
TO 2010; WON THE ELEVENTH CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2012. THE TEAM ALSO HAS SEVEN CUP TITLES
AND HAS GOT SIX NATIONAL DOUBLETS. IN THE 2021-22 SEASON, THE CLUB WILL PLAY THE UEFA
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP STAGE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ITS HISTORY.
SHERIFF TIRASPOL SHOULD NOT BE CONFUSED WITH THE FOOTBALL CLUB TIRASPOL, A RIVAL
TEAM BASED IN THE SAME CITY.
