Fact or Bluff
Game Mechanics:
Players are grouped into six.
Each group is composed of Grade-7 to 11 students.
Each group is given two flash cards; FACT or BLUFF.
The scope of the game is general knowledge and not limited to
English subject.
The teacher host will read each statement.
The teacher bluffers will give their explanation and supporting
ideas on whether the given statement is FACT or BLUFF.
Each group will decide and raise the flash card 10 seconds
after reading the statement.
Each correct response is equal to 2 points.
The highest to earn scores will be the winner.
1. There are 7 parts of
speech.
BLUFF
A shrimp’s heart is on
its head. This is for their
own security.
10. The most used
English adjective is
“good”.
FACT
We use them
everyday, right?
11. The word “girl”
was not initially used
to refer to a specific
gender.
FACT
The word girl used to
refer to a “child” or a
“young person”.
12. “I do” is the shortest
complete English
sentence.
BLUFF
“I am” is considered the
shortest English sentence
though it has the same number
of letters with “I do”.
13. Sharks don’t have
bones.
FACT
Sharks’ skeleton are made
up of cartilage.
14. The most commonly
used letter in the English
alphabet is “A”.
BLUFF
The most commonly used
letter is actually E. Next to
these are T, A, I and N.
15. Earth’s gravity is
not uniform.
FACT
Though Earth has a
universal law of gravity,
it’s gravity varies
geographically.
