How to ACE it?


Overview
Teaching Improvement Tool allows PHBEEs to take ownership of their performance, help
identify areas of improvement, and track their success indicators in the platform.

The tool will help teachers better integrate into the 51talk platform, grow continuously, get more
classes and earn more money in the process.

• There are 4 categories with a total of 16 indicators.


• Each category has corresponding points which a teacher can gain or lose
depending on how he/she performs in the platform.
Facts and Tips
• Although the base score of new teachers are higher than tenured teachers it will take time for them to
Achieve 100% given that certain indicator will capture total count since launch.

• New teachers have a higher chance of adding new favorites since most of their students are new

• In the succeeding slides you will see tips on how to reach 100% for tenured teachers and 85%
for 0 to 30 days teachers in the teaching improvement tool.

• The score seen in the tips are actual score from one of our tenured and new teacher
I’m a new teacher how do I get 85%?

• Complete at least H5 and JK12 and get +1 on your base score


• If you are coming in as TESOL certified teacher upon launching you will get an additional 1 point
• In this example the new teacher is 13 days in the platform and finished both H5 and JK 12 training
I’m a new teacher how do I get 85%?

• You can get still +2 points in activeness even if you are still learning your way around the platform.
• Open at least 6 days in advance to manage your teaching schedule effectively
• Open at least 20 slots during weekday peak hours from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm to control your teaching pace
• You have more time during weekends? Then open more than 60 during weekend peak hours from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, Get +4
points
* In this example, the new teacher opens slots 6 days in advance with 31 slots during weekday peak and 66 slots on weekends
Keep a perfect attendance to avoid deductions that corresponds to the frequency of infraction

• Commit to your scheduled slots to avoid 0.5 point deduction.


• For absolute absences, report at least 2 hours before the lesson time to avoid 1 point deduction.
• Be in the AC room at least 3 minutes before the lesson time to avoid 0.1 point deduction.
• always end the lesson on the 25 th minute to avoid 0.1 point deduction.

Always conduct a fun and engaging lessons with your students to get maximum score of 19.7 points

• Make every lesson count. Be engaging and interact with your students to gain favorites and good evaluation from students
• In 2 weeks the teacher was able to gain 70 favorites from his new students giving him 3.2 points
• Engaging in quality lessons and complying with 51talk quality standards prevent teacher from having complaints

How can I get 100% ?
Complete all training tags and be TESOL certified to get + 2.5 points

• Complete all training tags to get +2.5 points on your base score

Open slots in advance, exceed the number of peak hours slots and get +7.5 points on your base score

• Open your teaching slots 14 days in advance to get +0.5 points.


• Get +3 points if you open more than 55 during weekday peak hours from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
• Get +4 points if you open more than 60 during weekend peak hours from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm

* In this example, the teacher opens slots 33 days in advance with 63 slots during weekday peak and 71 slots on weekends

• Complaints – Follow 51Talk’s teaching standards to avoid getting complaints. 1 complaint is


equivalent to 1 point deduction.

• Positive Feedback Records – Always provide quality lessons to receive more positive feedback from
your students. Get more than 70 positive feedback from your students to have +11 points.

• Positive Feedback Rate – Refers to the number of positive feedback you received from your students in
the past 30 days. You can get +0.5 points if your positive rate feedback is higher than 0.95.

• Newly Added Favorite – Be energetic and engage new in a interactive session in order to get a
favorite tag. Refers to the number of students who have added you in their favorite list for the past 15
days. Have more than 23 favorites to get +2.2 points. Be energetic and engage new students in order to
receive a new favorite tag

• Total Valid Favorite – Refers to all valid students who added you in their favorite list. Valid students
are those whose account has
balance and can still book classes. Get more than 500 valid favorites to earn +6 points.
