• Huawei has faced a series of accusations of

intellectual property theft from rivals, including


T-Mobile and CNEX Labs. In both cases, the
company has denied wrongdoing.
• In the case of T-Mobile, Huawei was sued in
2014 for allegedly stealing trade secrets, with T-
Mobile being awarded $4.8m in a jury trial.
• The case was repeated in January when US
prosecutors indicted Huawei in a federal court in
Seattle.
• Meanwhile, in October last year, CNEX Labs
accused Huawei of stealing its solid-state disk
storage technology, used for managing data
generated by artificial intelligence.
• Huawei has denied the charges.
• Jesse Hong, Huawei's software architect in
California
• in November 2017 used a pseudonymous
name to register himself for an industry
conference hosted by Facebook Inc. The social
media giant has invited other companies to
join.
• Telecom Infra project meeting, a collaboration
on network design, but excluding Huawei. The
lawsuit was settled out of court in April.
