Kunětická hora

Kunětická hora

• Kunětická hora is a castle ruin from the 15th century standing on a lonely hill of the same name near
Pardubice.
• The castle is known as "Rumburak's" castle from the fairy tale Arabela. There is an easy path leading to it.
• In front of the castle palace we will discover the wooden cottage of the coal miner Věnavy.
• The castle palace is home to the largest dragon in
the country's castles.
• Here we can see, for example, a classic armoury
or a hunger room. From the tower you can enjoy
a magnificent view of the surroundings. Right
next to the castle is an archery range.
• Around the castle there is a restaurant of the same
name, and a refreshment shop under the Kuňka with a
children's playground. Above the refreshments there
are goats grazing in the selection. Nearby we can also
visit the Gingerbread House.
• Rumour has it that Kunětická hora opens once a year. In its bowels, we can then walk through the
underground maze, which, in addition to richly decorated corridors, consists of large halls with old ceilings
and walls inlaid with precious stones. In the lavish labyrinth wander the ghosts of deceived monks from the
nearby Abbey monastery, searching for the treasure they lost through their own fault.
