Jane Austen

Jane Austen (1775-1817) You can

thank Jane Austen for basically
creating those rom-com books you
love to read. In her teenage years
during the early 1810s, she started
writing her most famous novels,
like Pride and Prejudice and Sense
and Sensibility. She didn't even get
credit for her novels until after her
death when her brother Henry
publicly announced she was the
author. Even today, the themes of
her works and literary devices still
hold up.
Jane Austen's most famous works include:

1. "Pride and Prejudice" (1813)

2. "Persuasion" (1818)
3. "Emma" (1815)
4. "Sense and Sensibility" (1811)
5. "Northanger Abbey" (1818)
6. "Mansfield Park" (1814)

These novels have earned her a place as one of the most

widely read authors in English literature. Each of them
provides a distinct and insightful critique of the social
norms and expectations of Austen's time.
