What is Ragging

Ragging ordinarily means any act, conduct or practice by which dominant


power or status of seniors is brought to bear on juniors and includes individual
or collective acts or practices which:-
(a) Involve physical assault or threat or use of physical force.
(b) Violate the status, dignity and honour of juniors.
(c) Expose juniors to ridicule and contempt and affect their self esteem.
(d) Enter verbal abuse and aggression, indecent gestures and obscene
behaviour.
1. Ragging in any form is prohibited in all ships and
establishments of Navy.

2. The mandatory minimum punishment for all cases of trainees


indulging in unauthorised punishments would be of relegation.

 Vertical Ropes
 Chin Ups/ Pull Ups
 Sit Ups/ Ab Crunches
 Short Sprints (100 m)
 Haunch Jumps/ Haunching
 Fireman Lifts
 Front Roll
 Kit muster
