Objectives of PESO

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

To ensure the prompt, timely and


efficient delivery of employment service
and provision of information on the
other DOLE programs.
Objectives of PESO
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
1. Provide a venue where people could explore various
employment options and actually seek assistance;

2. Serve as referral and information center for the


various services and programs of DOLE and other
government agencies;
3. Provide clients with adequate information on
employment and labor market situation in the area;
and
4. Network with other PESOs within the region on
employment for job exchange purposes.
CORE FUNCTIONS OF PESO

Labor Market Information (LMI)


 Constitutes partnership with private employers, soliciting and
posting of job vacancies.

Referral and Placement


 Process of directing pre-screened jobseekers to employers with
vacancies matching their qualifications, while placement is the
result of a successful referral.

● Career Guidance and Employment Coaching


 Process of assisting people intellectually and psychologically to
make decisions about their career.

● Ancillary Services
 Implement other programs and services of DOLE, and other
partners like OWWA, POEA, PRC, TESDA among others.
