COMPUTER
Early Days (19th Century)

The history of computers dates back to the

early 19th century, with the invention of
the first mechanical computer by Charles

Analytical Engine, was designed to
perform complex calculations and was
powered by steam. However, it was never
completed.

I
Electronic Computers (Mid-20th
Century)
It wasn't until the mid-20th century
that electronic computers were
developed, beginning with the ENIAC
(Electronic Numerical Integrator and
Computer) in 1945. These early
computers were enormous, often
taking up entire rooms, and required a
team of operators to run them.
Transistors and Microprocessors
(1950s-1970s)
Over the next few decades, computers
became smaller, more powerful, and
more affordable, leading to the
personal computer revolution in the
1980s. This allowed individuals to
have computers in their homes and
businesses, leading to the widespread
use of computers in everyday life.
