    Rational numbers can be converted between fractional and decimal forms. Terminating decimals have a finite decimal representation and can be converted to fractions by placing the decimal portion over 10 to the power of the number of decimal places. Repeating decimals contain infinitely repeating digits and are converted to fractions by writing the repeating portion over 9s or 99s, etc. depending on the length of the repeat. Examples are provided to demonstrate converting between fractional and decimal representations of rational numbers.

    that go on forever.
