Statement of the
Generally, this study aimed to determine the factors affecting the financial strains faced by Filipino

farmers despite their unconditional efforts in agriculture. Specifically, this study sought to answer the

following questions: problem


1. What are the Financial Strains they experience as farmers?

2. What are the factors contributing to their financial strains?

3. How do they cope with it?

4. How effective is their coping mechanism?


methodology
Research Design: descriptive qualitative research
Locale of the study: City of Koronadal
Participants of the study: 10 participants
Sampling technique: Purposive Sampling
Inclusion Criteria:
(a) Must have experienced financial strains as a farmer
(b) Must have at least five (5) years of experience in farming
(c) Must meet the minimum age of 40
(d) Must belong to the group of farmers earning 80k or less monthly.
