This document discusses assessment tools to measure authentic learning performance and products. It describes checklists, rating scales, and rubrics as performance assessment tools. Checklists consist of expected qualities to observe as present or absent. Rating scales use a numerical scale to estimate performance or product value. Rubrics are used to holistically assess learning experiences presented in a portfolio with evidence and reflections. Rubrics can be analytic, addressing assignment components separately, or holistic, addressing fewer components without separate grades. Assessment levels describe learning outcome levels of knowledge, skills, understanding, and performance products.

Learning Objectives • Discuss the Performance Assessment Tools • Appreciate the imporatance of KPUP in Assessment • Can create your own assessment to measure Authentic Learning Performance and Products Performance Assessment Tools 1. CHECKLIST A tool that consist of a list of qualities that are expected to be observed as present or absent. • 2. RATING SCALE
I a tool that uses a scale in a number line as
a basis to estimate the numerical value of performance or a product. The value is easier to score if the points are in whole numbers. The most popular rating scale is called linker scale. • RUBRICS
A portfolio is acompilation of the
experiences as authentic learning outcomes presented with evidences and reflectios. To assess the total learning experiences as presented in a wholistic package, as aseessment tool caleed a RUBRIC is utilezed. Analytic rubrics address an assignment with many components and offer a specific grade. Holistic rubrics are much more brief, generally address fewer components, and do not offer a specific grade. Levels of Assessment for the Levels of Learning Outcomes • Levels of assessments describe levels of the learning outcomes which are (1) KNOWLEDGE, (2) SKILLS, (3) UNDERSTANDING, (4) PRODUCTS OF PERFORMANCE. The levels of learning outcomes are also used to describe the levels of assessment. REPORTING SUMMATIVE GRADE by Quarterly/Semester or End of the Year • Interpretation of the numerical values for all subjects areas is based on the minimum initial grade of 60, transmitted into an equivalent of 75 in the report card. The nummerical grades are describe in the different levels of profeciency in the different competencies as set in the subject areas. •THANK YOU.....
