 Brief Description of the Department

The Trinity University of Asia’s BS Psychology program aims to

provide students the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude
preparing them for jobs that may involve interpersonal relations,
ethics and research, psychological welfare and mental health and
the development and functioning of the individual and the
community or organization.

The program embodies the university’s core values of integrity,

excellence, teamwork, innovation, and social responsibility through
its courses.

It also provides preparation for graduate studies in different fields

of specialization in Psychology as well as further studies in many
professions such as medicine, law, and business management.
 Program Overview

The TUA Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BS Psychology)

program is a 4-year degree course designed in accordance with
CHED memo No. 34 series of 2017.

The program aims to produce graduate with solid basic

knowledge and skills in Psychology with additional preparation
in the natural sciences.
 Program Overview

BS Psychology graduates could be licensed Psychometrician or work in

the academe, in Human Resources, or in research.

Graduates may also pursue careers in medicine, law, management, etc.

With further specialized training, graduates from this program may

pursue specialization in different fields in Psychology such as in
clinical, counseling, developmental, educational, social,
industrial/organizational, etc.
 Program Overview
The course curriculum is distributed in eight (8) semesters with
two (2) summers, during their second year and 3rd year.

 The first year curriculum focuses on completing the basic pre-

requisite major and the GE subjects.

 The second year curriculum focuses on completing the pre-

requisite major subjects.

 The third year curriculum focuses on completing psychological

research.

 The fourth curriculum focuses on the completion of this

Practicum in Psychology where students are required to work in
actual Psychological services sites.
 Program Overview

All graduates of this program is qualified to take the national board

examination for Psychometrician, the first license they have to
acquire to be legally engage in any works related to Psychological
assessment.
