INTRO
It is in human nature to always strive for perfection. Nevertheless, humans are
bound to make mistakes, for no one is perfect. Failure is often perceived as a
negative thing because it means you are unable to achieve a goal that have been set.
However, failure is actually in the eye of the beholder. People claim that failure
helps you grow as an individual, and I stand with this notion. In fact, Thomas
Edison once said, “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”
This proves that failure is not always a bad thing, and it can encourage self-
development, since you will become more resilient, it keeps your ego in check, and
acts as a learning opportunity in life.[HOOK] From my point of view,I
unconditionly agree that failure can encourage self-development.[STAND]there a
many fact that failure can encourage self-development that are develop more
resilient , keeps your ego in check and perceive failure as a learning opportunity in
life.[THESIS STATEMENT]

BODY : POINT 1
First and foremost, failure encourages self-development
by making you more resilient in going through challenges in
life.[MP] Most of the time, failure is not something that you
have control over, therefore it is important to not dwell on it,
and rather focus on finding ways to jump back on track to
achieve your goal.[L] For example, when you fail to complete a
task, do not think that you are not good at the task, and instead
think that approach that you used to complete said task was not
suitable, therefore a different tactic would need to be explored.
[E] Hence, failure makes you a stronger individual. [CS]

BODY : POINT 2
Secondly, failure keeps your ego in check.[MP] Most
failures happen because you overestimate your abilities, and
become rash in making choices.[L] Therefore, when
encountering failure, you have to take a step back, reanalyse the
situation and recalculate your decisions before doing something.
It also allows you to trust yourself more when making future
decisions and future attempts, because by being humble you
learn to take responsibility for your mistakes by acknowledging
your shortcomings.[E]Thus, failure improves your character by
making you humble. [CS]

BODY : POINT 3
Last but not least, you can perceive failure as a learning
opportunity in life.[MP] This is because you learn valuable life
lessons in a way that success cannot teach you.[L] For example,
knowing what not to do is just as important as knowing what to
do. As a kid we were always told to not run. I never understood
why I shouldn’t run, because it was fun for me. It took 7-year-
old me a sprained ankle to realise running, indeed, was not good.
That was only one of the many moments in life that showed me
proof that failure is a great teacher in life.[E + EXPLAIN]
Hence, failure teaches us life lessons to improve ourselves. [CS]

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, failure is not a negative thing, and we
should not be embarrassed of our failures, as it does not define
who we are as a person but its make us develop more
resilience , keeps our ego in check and can perceive failure as a
learning opportunity in life . [RECAP] From where I stand, I
still thoroughtly believe that failure can encourage self-
development.[REITERATE]We should choose to cope and react
to failure and learn from it to be a better person tells others
about our character, because we become more resilient, humble
and learn life lessons from out failures.[RECOMENDED]
