Chut Thai for men known as Raj pattern costume consisting of a white Nehru-style jacket with five buttons , a Sompot Chong Kben , knee-length socks and dress a shoes. Chut Thai for women consist of a blouse , pha nung and sabai. Festivals in Thailand : As a country rich with culture and tradition , it`s no surprise that there are many festivals in Thailand that are celebrated throughout the year. Yee peng Lantern Festival : This festival primarily Celebrated in Chiang Mai. It usually takes a place in November each year . People release lanterns into the sky as symbolic to let go all of their misfortunes and express their hopes for a better future .

in April. It`s known for the water festival where people splash water on each other as a symbol of washing away their sins and bad luck. The Great Buddha of Thailand : The Great Buddha of Thailand also known as The big Buddha of Thailand , it`s tallest statue in Thailand , the second tallest statue in Southeast Asia and the ninth tallest statue in the world . Located at wat muang tample in the ang thang province , approximately 140 km North of Bangkok. This statue stands 92 meters high and 63 meters wide, and took 18 years to build , opening to public in 2008. It`s painted gold and made of concrete. The statue was built using the donated money from faithful Buddhists .
