INTRO ABOUT CIVIL WAR
The Civil War began in United States after
decades of simmering tensions between Northern
and Southern States. The war started because of
uncompromising differences between the free and
slave states over the power of the national
government to prohibit slavery in the territories
that had not yet become states.
SOLDIERS AT THE CIVIL WAR
JOBS OF WOMEN IN THE CIVIL WAR
Women in the Civil War used to cook , sew for
their men , they provide uniforms , blankets , sandbags
and other supplies for entire regiments. Women also
worked as spies.They should disguise themselves and
travel to the enemy`s territory to get information and
immediately share the information they collect. Other
women were nurses they helped wounded soldiers and
provide for them food in case keeping them survive
through the days of the war.

Women had to fill in for what the man used
to do in addition of taking care of their children.
For example if a man was a farmer the wife
should go to the farm and start planting , weeding..
They also need to go and work in factories to
provide for men weapons during the war.

Some women encouraged men to enlist in the
army.
Also other women would join organizations that
prepared supplies and delivered them to the
battlefield.
From the beginning to the end of the Civil War ,
women with or without jobs would write diaries or
letters from home to their men at war.
 Now you can`t just say that men
were important in the Civil War ……
